By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. We may update them by posting a new version on this page.
2. Quotes, pricing and bookings
Prices are shown including GST unless stated otherwise. A booking is confirmed when we accept your request and, if required, receive a deposit. Timeframes depend on receiving required materials from you.
3. Your materials and permissions
You confirm that you own or have permission to use any photos, videos, music or text you supply to us, and that providing them does not infringe third-party rights.
4. Intellectual property and licence
We retain ownership of our designs, layouts, templates and working files. On full payment you receive a non-exclusive licence to use final deliverables for their intended purpose (for example, a funeral service, social media or your website). You must not resell our templates or distribute them as your own.
5. Portfolio and case studies
We may privately retain a copy of the finished work. Public portfolio use will occur only with your written consent, particularly for family content.
6. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where required, we will provide remedies such as re-supply or a refund.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in connection with the services is limited to re-supplying the services or the amount paid.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

1. Who we are
Haven Light Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides administrative and creative services to funeral homes, celebrants and families. We are committed to protecting personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and secure personal information, and how you may access or correct it and lodge a complaint.
3. Information we collect
• Contact details: names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses.
• Service information: obituary/eulogy content, photos, videos, dates, order-of-service text, family relationships.
• Business details: staff names, brand assets, social handles for B2B clients.
• Payment records: invoice details and transaction confirmations (no full card data stored when using third-party processors).
4. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you via email, forms, shared drives (e.g. Google Drive) or messaging. If a funeral home or celebrant provides information about a family, they confirm they have consent to do so.
5. Why we use information
We use personal information to provide and improve our services, manage bookings and accounts, respond to enquiries and legal obligations, and—only with your consent—display finished work in a portfolio or case study.
6. Legal basis and APPs
We collect only what is reasonably necessary (APP 3) and use or disclose information for purposes you would reasonably expect (APP 6).
7. Storage, security and overseas disclosure
We use reputable cloud services (including Google Workspace/Drive and Canva) with access controls. These providers may host data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect against misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access.
8. Retention
Project files are retained for [12 months] after delivery and then securely deleted, unless you ask us to keep them longer or the law requires retention (e.g. tax records kept for 7 years).
9. Access and correction
You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information by emailing info@havenlightstudio.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Complaints
If you have concerns about privacy, contact us at info@havenlightstudio.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
11. Data breaches
If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will act under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, including notifying affected individuals and the OAIC.

1. Consent
We send marketing communications only with your consent or where otherwise permitted by law. Transactional and service messages may still be sent as part of delivering our services.
2. Identification
Our messages clearly identify Haven Light Studio and include our contact details.
3. Unsubscribe
All marketing emails include an unsubscribe function. We process unsubscribe requests within 5 business days.
4. List management
We keep our contact lists accurate and do not purchase third-party lists.

1. Bookings and deposits
Family projects (services not booked by a funeral home, celebrant, or other company or professional) require a 50% deposit at booking, with the balance due before final files are released. Business retainers are invoiced monthly in advance or on agreed milestones.
2. Cancellations
If work has not started, deposits are fully refundable. If work has started, refunds are pro-rated to the work completed. Third-party costs already incurred (such as licensed music) are non-refundable. Retainers require 14 days’ written notice to cancel the next period.
3. Revisions
Two rounds of reasonable revisions are included unless stated otherwise. Additional or out-of-scope changes are quoted in advance and billed at $60/hour with your approval.
4. Turnaround and delays
We aim to meet agreed timeframes. If materials are delayed or the scope changes, delivery dates may shift. We will keep you informed.
5. Delivery formats
Standard delivery is digital (for example, MP4 for videos and PDF/JPG for designs).
6. Quality concerns and remedies
If something is not right, please contact us within 5 business days of delivery. Where appropriate under the Australian Consumer Law we will remedy the issue, re-supply the service or provide a refund.
